Ancestors and relatives of Philip Steinman

Welcome to my family tree! Many hours of work have been put into the research and documentation of these ancestors and living relatives. If you are a family member, I hope you have fun and learn more about our family history from the information presented here. I am especially thankful to all who have contributed stories, photos, and factual information. If you are a friend or public web browser, I hope this family tree inspires you to start or expand your own tree. Carp diem: as time passes, memories fade. What may seem trivial now, could be important history later.

Extended family members, I need your help to make our big family tree more accurate and more informative.
Every generation inherits only what information their ancestors pass down to them. What isn't passed down is gone forever. It is up to us, the living, to gather what we know to share and enjoy with our families now, and preserve something to hand down to future generations. It would be interesting to know a little something about each person's life in this growing tree. You can help by providing corrections and information such as:

1) Dates and locations for births, marriage, prominent events, and deaths.
2) We need pictures, especially head shots, and classic family shots.
3) What school(s) were attended, degree(s) earned, and in what year(s)?
4) What profession(s) and what years working?
5) Include any hobbies, places traveled, accomplishments, stories, and perhaps something humorous. In short, anything that you wish you could have read about your ancestor's life, you should try to include in your own life and for relatives.

Some of my pictures are temporary and need updates, so please email me them. People have asked me, "How can the tree be so large? What constitutes a family member in adding them to the tree?" The answer is quite simple in that all of these people on the tree directly share an ancestor with me or are immediately married to someone who does. Indeed, there are many people I have never met on this tree. But if you share the same great, great, great grandfather as me, then we are technically direct descents of the same person. The tree contains 249 individuals and 54 unique surnames. How many have you browsed through?
